The Ghost and the Darkness

 

The Ghost and the Darkness is a 1996 historical adventure film directed by Stephen Hopkins, starring Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas. Set in 1898, it follows Colonel John Henry Patterson (Kilmer), an Irish engineer tasked with building a railway bridge in Tsavo, Kenya, who faces deadly attacks by two man-eating lions, dubbed “The Ghost” and “The Darkness.”
